Paralight Optics’ optical mirrors are available for use with light in the UV, VIS, and IR spectral regions. Optical mirrors with a metallic coating have high reflectivity over the widest spectral region, whereas mirrors with a broadband dielectric coating have a narrower spectral range of operation; the average reflectivity throughout the specified region is greater than 99%. High performance hot, cold, backside polished, ultrafast (low delay mirror), flat, D-shaped, elliptical, off-axis parabolic, PCV cylindrical, PCV Spherical, right angle, crystalline, and laser line dielectric-coated optical mirrors are available for more specialized applications.
Off-Axis Parabolic (OAP) Mirrors are mirrors whose reflective surfaces are segments of a parent paraloloid. They are designed to focus a collimated beam or collimate a divergent source. The off-axis design makes the focal point to be separated from the optical path. The angle between the focused beam and the collimated beam (off-axis angle) is 90°, the propagation axis of the collimated beam should be normal to the bottom of the substrate to achieve a proper focus. Using Off-Axis Parabolic Mirror does not produce spherical aberration, color aberration, and eliminates the phase delay and absorption loss introduced by the transmissive optics. Paralight Optics offers off-axis parabolic mirrors available with one of four metallic coatings, please check the following graphs for your references.
